Eastern orthodox pilgrims that travel to Lalibela, Ethiopia feel what they describe as a spiritual presence within the churches dug into the stone. The spiritual leaders and pilgrims alike honor the immense monolithic structures that are said to have been built by angels. Historical platimum/palladium printing was chosen for this project specifically for its unique hand-made quality and its permenance.
