What You'll Do

·       Provide comprehensive preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic veterinary medical care, conduct regular clinical rounds and lead case-based discussions to maintain a culture of medical excellence. 

·       Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of the facility's veterinary care program.

·       Mentor, train, and supervise Veterinary staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

·       Collaborate with animal care, operations, and scientific teams to ensure seamless, high-quality support across the organization.

·       Develop, review, and enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain best practices and operational excellence.

·       Serve as the facility's veterinary representative during inspections and interactions with regulatory and accreditation agencies, including USDA, CDC, and AAALAC.

·       Evaluate veterinary program performance through regular reviews and data analysis, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

·       Maintain accurate veterinary medical records and ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and company standards.

·       Oversee pre-shipment health evaluations for export.

·       Review animal health and processing reports and implement appropriate clinical interventions when needed.

·       Participate in an on-call rotation to provide emergency veterinary support.

·       Provide regular updates and recommendations to the Veterinary Director.

·       Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support the veterinary program.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD).

• Active veterinary license in at least one U.S. state.

• Hands-on experience working with nonhuman primates (NHPs), preferably cynomolgus macaques, is strongly preferred.

• Eligibility for USDA accreditation and licensure in Florida.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLAM board certification is welcomed but not required.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
